A top African Union (AU) officer commended the AU Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) contingent from Burundi for their commitment to the security and stability of Somalia.
Souef Mohamed El-Amine, the Special Representative of the Chairperson of the AU Commission (SRCC), commended the Burundian soldiers when he met their Ambassador.
El-Amine and Ambassador Evelyne Habonimana met on Monday.
Lt. Gen. Sam Okiding, the ATMIS Force Commander, attended the meeting between El-Amine and Amb. Habonimana too.
Specifically, the Burundians came for praise for the efforts and commitment displayed in ensuring that Somalis live in a country that is secure, stable, and peaceful.
