Top commanders from the Somali Police Force (SPF) underwent training to improve their capacity for providing security during the upcoming elections.
Currently, the East African nation is gearing up for House of the People (Lower House) elections, which have already kicked off in some parts of the country.
Security is an important component in ensuring that the elections take place in a secure, stable, and peaceful atmosphere.
To this end, several top SPF commanders have been receiving training in Mogadishu to make them capable of providing such an atmosphere.
Courtesy of the three-day training, the commanders are now capable of running election security operation centers around the country.
The training ended on Friday, November 26.
