The Somali Security Conference took place in New York on December 12.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud led a delegation of senior government leaders in representing Somalia at the conference.
Representatives of over 25 of Somalia’s international partners were at the conference.
Specifically, Laing singled out Hussein Sheikh Ali, the National Security Advisor, for playing a central role in ensuring the success of the conference.
