Transitional Puntland Electoral Commission (TPEC) met with President Said Abdullahi Deni to discuss the upcoming local elections.
Puntland is scheduled to hold local government elections before the end of the year.
TPEC organized the first phase of the polls last year. They received widespread praise for accomplishing the task.
On June 6, they visited President Deni at the Presidential Palace.
The electoral commissioners briefed President Deni on the progress of the ongoing activities.
Furthermore, they discussed ways of hastening the finalization of the second phase of the upcoming local government elections.
President Deni assured them of the full support of his administration.
