Thirty community hygiene promoters (CHPs) are to be trained in Kismayo from Sunday February 14.
The training is to be conducted by Somali Lifeline Organization.
The organization said that it would be training the hygiene promoters who are to work with refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs).
German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) is currently funding the project.
The trainers, funders, and participants at the Sunday launching ceremony expressed their delight at the opportunity offered them to undergo the training.
Further, they said the training comes at a critical moment when COVID-19 cases seem to be on the rise in the region.
