A trunk drainage design project has been launched in Mogadishu.
Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama launched the project on Thursday in a ceremony attended by representatives of various organizations.
Jama said that the project would help Mogadishu Municipality to mitigate the frequent disruptive floods in the capital city.
A few days ago, heavy rains caused intense floods in Mogadishu.
The floods disrupted transportation, which was quite unfortunate when Grade 12 and Grade 4 students started sitting for their national examinations.
Jama hailed the incredible role that Benadir Governor Yusuf Hussein Jimale played in the project.
