The first wave of nearly 400 Turkish soldiers has arrived in Mogadishu, marking the beginning of a large-scale security operation in Somalia.
This deployment is part of a broader mission that will eventually include 2,500 Turkish troops.
Their presence in the East African nation is designed to help support Somali National Army (SNA) forces, protect critical infrastructure, and combat Al-Shabaab militants.
