Turkey has promised to increase its support to Somalia to help the East African nation wage a successful fight against terrorism.
Al-Shabaab has stepped up its terror attacks in the country in the last few months.
Mostly, it has targeted government officers, security forces, and innocent civilians around the country with its attacks.
In the last week, Turkish government has donated several off-road and armored vehicles to Somali military.
On Thursday August 27, Turkish Ambassador to Somalia, Mehmet Yilmaz, promised Mogadishu more assistance in capacity training.
Furthermore, Yilmaz announced that Turkey would equip the Somali National Army (SNA) to transform it into a formidable force capable of handling all its security responsibilities.
