Turkey has raised concerns over the recent deal between Ethiopia and Somaliland in which the former agreed to recognize the latter as a state.
The European nation, which is a long-time ally of Somalia, said that the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is wrong.
It hit out at Ethiopia and Somaliland for signing the agreement without the knowledge and consent of Somalia.
A statement from the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to territorial integrity, unity, and sovereignty of Somalia.
