Turkey is prepared to mediate the row between Somalia and Ethiopia.
Lately, the Turkish government has been pushing for commencement of dialogue between the two neighboring East African nations.
Somalia and Ethiopia have been at loggerheads throughout this year.
Their diplomatic row, which has threatened to boil over numerous times, started following a seaport access agreement that Ethiopia signed with Somalia on January 1 this year.
Somalia accused Ethiopia of breaching its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
That is because Somalia considers Somaliland part of its territory.
Recently, Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan held talks with President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia.
Fidan assured President Mohamud of Turkey’s commitment to the stability of the Horn of Africa region.
