Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud met with Turkey’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Arslan Bayraktar, at Villa Somalia.
This visit coincides with the arrival of Turkey’s seismic exploration vessel, Oruç Reis, at the Port of Mogadishu on Friday.
The vessel is expected to conduct seismic studies to assess potential energy resources along Somalia’s coastline, marking a significant step in the Somali-Turkish partnership.
The collaboration aims to explore and develop energy resources, which could strengthen Somalia’s economy and further solidify Turkey’s strategic presence in the region.
