Turkey’s Red Crescent has donated 10 ventilators to boost Somalia’s COVID-19 efforts.
Red Crescent announced that the ventilators would play a crucial role in Somalia, which has witnessed an upsurge in COVID-19 cases.
De Martini Hospital in Mogadishu, which specializes in COVID-19 treatment, has run out of oxygen.
For weeks, there have been reports that the country’s health system is grossly underequipped to handle the COVID-19 resurgence.
The ventilators from Turkey’s Red Crescent arrived in Somalia on February 26.
