Turkish Airlines to Fly to Mogadishu Again

Turkish Airlines plans to resume flights to Somalia.

An industry insider said the airlines plans to resume flights to several key destinations in Africa, which includes Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.

Currently, the airlines resumed flights to Cairo, Egypt.

Furthermore, Turkey’s national flag carrier, which resumed international flights on June 11, also plans to begin flying into Italy and Bulgaria soon.

On March 27, Turkish Airlines suspended all international flights when the COVID-19 pandemic ravaged the world.

Tentatively, travelers interested in visiting Somalia or leaving the country would be able to do so from July 22, 2020.

The last time any Turkish Airlines plane landed in Mogadishu was March 17, 2020.
