Mehmet Yilmaz, the Turkish Ambassador to Somalia, paid the newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs a courtesy call on November 28.
Ambassador Yilmaz visited Abdisaid Muse Ali, the new foreign affairs and international cooperation minister, on Sunday.
During their meeting, which took place at Ali’s office in Mogadishu, they spoke of ways of improving the diplomatic relations between their two respective nations.
Turkey has been one of Somalia’s most trusted international partners.
It has invested heavily in security sector in the East African nation.
Its reach in Somalia runs deep in the healthcare sector as well.
