President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey has congratulated Somalia’s new President.
The Turkish leader called President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia on Thursday, May 26 to offer his congratulatory messages.
During the call, Erdogan and Mohamud agreed to work together for the sake of improved relations between Somalia and Turkey.
The European nation has made countless contributions and investments in Somalia.
Many of Somalia’s security officers travel to Turkey for advanced military training.
Turkey also has a hospital bearing the name of President Erdogan right in the middle of Mogadishu.
