Turkish Red Crescent International held tailoring training for women inmates in Mogadishu on March 5.
The organization offered training to women inmates at the Central Prison in the Somali capital.
Further, the Turkish organization indicated that it would reward the trainees with a sewing machine each once they complete their prison sentence.
Last year, 20 women prisoners benefited from the project.
They would then have a ready source of income once they left Mogadishu’s Central Prison at the end of their sentence.
