The Turkish heavy-duty, deep-sea energy exploration and research vessel Oruc Reis is preparing to set sail for Somalia.
The vessel will commence oil and gas surveys in several offshore energy blocks along the Somali coast.
The precise coordinates of the survey areas have not been made public.
Its journey to the East African nation is the culmination of an agreement between Somalia and Turkey on exploration.
The two nations signed the agreement a few months ago.
