Twenty Al-Shabaab militants were killed in a counterterrorism operation carried out in Mudug.
An operation by the Somali National Army (SNA) and the country’s international security partners led to the deaths of the militants.
The joint operation targeted a forest in Shabelow.
Reports from the region intimate that the Al-Shabaab terrorists have used the forest as their hideout for a long time.
During the operation, the military also destroyed a convoy carrying supplies for the terrorists.
