Twenty-eight Somalis emerged victorious in the recent local council elections in the United Kingdom.
Sixteen of them were male while the remaining 12 were female.
Majority of these victorious Somalis were elected through the Labor Party ticket but none were from the Conservative Party.
Labor had 25 of the councilors; Green Party had two while one was elected as an independent.
The elections took part in different parts of the country such as London, Manchester, Bristol, Sheffield, Northampton, and Cardiff among others.
