Two prisoners are now enjoying their freedom courtesy to the intervention of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
One of them had been in detention in Las Anod with the other one behind bars at Hargeisa.
ICRC, together with the Somali Red Crescent Society (SRCS) appealed for the detainees’ freedom on humanitarian grounds.
After their release, ICRC and SRCS facilitated the transportation of both detainees to Garowe.
They are currently in hospital receiving medical treatment.
