Two cabinet ministers in Puntland have tested positive to COVID-19, the state’s Ministry of Health has announced.
The health ministry confirmed that the ministers were part of the eight new COVID-19 cases reported in the last 24 hours.
Nevertheless, the health ministry has not provided further details on the ministers. It has said that they are in stable condition though.
Of the eight fresh cases, four are from Qardho while Ga’alkayo and Garowe have reported two cases each.
The ministry also reported that health officials never got a chance to test several people in Bosaso who allegedly died of COVID-19 before being buried.
