A court in Puntland has sentenced two men to die for murdering a young woman.
The court in Puntland’s Galkayo district found both men guilty of murdering 16-year-old Nacimo Abdiweli Osman.
Liban Mohamed Yusuf and Jama Mohamed Yusuf committed the crime earlier this year.
The 22-year-old Liban was Nacimo’s husband.
According to evidence produced at the court, Liban was angry that Nacimo refused to reside in the same house with him.
Instead, she sought a divorce.
Liban and Jama have one month to appeal the sentence.
