Two United States SEALs who went missing near Somalia earlier this month have been declared dead.
They went missing on January 11 after boarding an Iranian vessel in the Gulf of Aden just off the coast of Somalia.
Since then, authorities have been unable to locate them despite conducting extensive search and rescue operations in the area.
Gen. Michael Erik Kurilla, the Commander of US Central Command (CENTCOM), confirmed that they were now officially mourning their two missing colleagues.
He relayed messages of condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the missing and now deceased Navy SEALs.
