Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) has vowed to work closely with Somali military in maintaining peace and security in Somalia.
Lt. Gen. Kayanja Muhanga, the Commander of Uganda Land Forces, reaffirmed UPDF’s commitment to supporting Somalia’s peace and security initiatives.
He said this on Monday during a meeting with the Chief of the Somali National Armed Forces (SNAF), Maj. Gen. Ibrahim Sheikh Muhiyidin, in Mogadishu.
Lt. Gen. Muhanga emphasized the continued cooperation between the UPDF and SNA.
He highlighted the importance of this partnership in strengthening Somalia’s stability and ensuring the successful implementation of ongoing security efforts in the country.
