President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is opposed to the separation of Somaliland and Somalia.
The Ugandan President stated this on Saturday during his meeting with Dr. Jama Musse Jama.
Dr. Jama is the Special Envoy of Somaliland in Uganda.
He led a delegation of Somaliland officials in visiting President Museveni at the Entebbe State House.
Museveni called secession of Somaliland from Somalia “strategically wrong.”
He urged the people of Somaliland and Somalia to embrace the politics of interest.
“I have taken up the role of peace facilitator between Somaliland and Somalia,” said Museveni.
