The United Kingdom announced £5 million in additional funding to the United Nations Support Office in Somalia (UNSOS).
The UK announced this through Philip Barton, who is the Permanent Under-Secretary at the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO).
Barton had visited Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre in Mogadishu.
Discussions between both officials focused mainly on improving bilateral relations between Somalia and the UK.
Other areas that they discussed included security and climate finance.
