The United Kingdom government has condemned the decision by Somaliland to sentence four soldiers to death.
Lizzie Walker, the UK High Commissioner to Somaliland, described the decision by Somaliland as an “affront to humanity.”
She called the death sentence “inhumane.”
The government of Somaliland sentenced four soldiers to death on Wednesday, February 16.
The UK High Commissioner emphasized her lasting opposition to Somaliland on such matters and measures.
In her view, Somaliland should permanently scrap the death sentence.
