The United Kingdom has donated £4 million to victims of the ongoing floods in Somalia.
The UK Embassy in Mogadishu announced the disbursement of the funds on Friday.
While making the announcement, the UK Embassy added that the funds would help the over 1 million Somalis affected by the El Nino rains.
It asked authorities to also provide humanitarian assistance to the flood victims using the funds.
According to the UK, the money is part of the partnership with the Action Against Hunger and Caafimaad Plus to ensure that the affected receive emergency health and nutrition services.
