James Duddridge, the United Kingdom Minister for Africa, toured the British military base in Somalia’s Southwest State.
Duddridge made the visit on Tuesday, December 8.
Several senior government officials from Somalia accompanied him. Representatives from the UK Embassy in Somalia also attended the function.
During his tour, Duddridge reiterated the UK government’s commitment to “long-term stability and security” of the East African nation.
Furthermore, he pledged more than £20 million to support various security ventures in Somalia.
