UK Minister Visits Somali President in Mogadishu

A minister from the United Kingdom visited President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia on Wednesday.

Andrew Mitch, the UK Minister of State for Development and Africa, visited the Somali President in Mogadishu for a discussion on various issues.

Some of the issues they discussed included the UK’s continued support of Somalia.

They also discussed the counterterrorism measures that the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has been undertaking throughout the country.

President Mohamud and the UK minister talked about climate change and the measures that Somalia employs to reduce its impact on the country.

Over the years, Somalia and the UK have enjoyed good bilateral and diplomatic relations.
