The United Kingdom has reaffirmed its commitment to work with Somalia to avert famine in the East African nation.
Kate Foster, the UK Ambassador to Somalia, issued the reaffirmation on Wednesday.
She stated that the UK government has pledged to continue supporting the government and people of the East African nation to avert the looming famine.
International and domestic organizations have repeatedly warned that Somalia faces a famine before the end of the year.
Ambassador Foster promised that the UK would work with Somalia through that.
