The United Kingdom has reassured Somalia of its commitment to help the East African nation to eliminate the threat of Al-Shabaab.
Mike Nithavrianakis, the UK Ambassador to Somalia, offered this reassurance when he met with Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur on Friday.
The meeting between Amb. Nithavrianakis and Nur, the Minister of Defense, offered them a chance to discuss security-related concerns.
They reiterated the shared commitment between Somalia and the UK to eliminate the huge threat that Al-Shabaab has become in not only the country but also the entire region.
Amb. Nithavrianakis assured Nur that the UK would not stop supporting the efforts of Somalia to shape a peaceful and prosperous future for all its people.
