The HALO Trust, a leading mine clearance organization, has been actively involved in Somalia and Somaliland, working to make the regions safer by removing landmines and other explosive remnants of war.
The United Kingdom has promised to continue being a proud supporter of HALO’s efforts.
This follows a recent meeting between UK representatives and HALO’s Regional Director and new Country Director that highlights the strong partnership.
Mike Nithavriankis, the UK Ambassador to Somalia, declared that the collaboration aims to build on the successful work that HALO has been doing.
Amb. Nithavriankis added that HALO’s work not only improves safety but also contributes to the broader development and stability of these regions.
He made thes comments during his meeting with top HALO Trust officials in Somalia on Saturday.
