The United Kingdom is to support internally displaced persons in Somalia with a new program.
UK’s Embassy in Somalia announced that it had launched a new program on Thursday, June 16 to support the IDPs.
The program is to be known as the Rapid Minimum Response Package.
Through it, the British Embassy hopes to reach out to as many as the 800,000 people displaced by the ongoing drought in Somalia.
The British Embassy hopes to use the package to protect vulnerable children and women.
