Catriona Laing, the United Nations Special Representative to Somalia, visited President Muse Bihi Abdi on Tuesday.
Ambassador Laing, who is also the Head of the UN Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM), was with President Bihi at the Presidential Palace in Hargeisa.
Their discussions touched on wide-ranging issues such as close working cooperation between Somaliland and the UN.
They discussed the implementation of various projects that the UN sponsors in multiple locations around the country.
The Somaliland-Somalia talks that stalled and are yet to resume also featured prominently in their discussions.
