The United Nations has called for the protection of humanitarian affairs in Somalia.
George Conway, the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General (DSRSG) of the UN, made the call on Monday.
His call comes at a time when a recent report painted a worrying picture of Somalia.
In the report published a few days ago, the country had witnessed increased cases of violent incidences against humanitarian workers.
Conway added that Somalia is in dire need of more humanitarian workers.
That is because of the devastating situation that has pushed millions of people around the country into life-threatening humanitarian needs.
