The United Nations called for the reintegration of Puntland into the National Consultative Council (NCC).
Catriona Laing, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) of the UN, spoke about this on Wednesday.
She raised a number of issues concerning the NCC while delivering her address on the UN Day.
NCC is a forum that brings together leaders of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and the Federal Member States (FMS).
The leaders discuss issues of national importance whenever they meet.
Laing said that Somalia was at a crossroads. Therefore, everybody needs to be on board to ensure that the country moves in the same direction.
“We must bring Puntland back to the NCC process,” Laing asserted.
