Catriona Laing has congratulated Nasro Awais Sheikh Hussain on her appointment as the new Minister of Women and Human Rights Development for the regional state of Southwest.
Laing, the United Nations Special Representative for the Secretary-General (SRSG), congratulated Nasro on Wednesday.
Nasro’s appointment was made official a few days ago.
The UN Special Envoy expressed hope that Nasro would serve her people with distinction and agitate for the rights of women in the region.
