The United Nations expects central Somalia to experience famine.
In its latest report, the global organization indicated that the entire country is on the brink of a devastating famine.
The report mentions that close to 580,000 are already affected in various parts of central Somalia.
Areas experiencing famine include Baidoa and BurHakaba.
UN estimates that the situation looks increasingly like evolving into famine owing to multiple factors.
These factors are unprecedented drought, unending conflicts, and high prices of food.
