The United Nations has drilled 42 new boreholes in different parts of Somalia since the beginning of the year.
A report from Adam Abdelmoula on April 16 revealed this.
Abdelmoula is the Deputy Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for Somalia.
He’s also the UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Somalia.
In his report, Abdelmoula stated that the UN has collaborated with various humanitarian partners to drill 42 new boreholes.
Further, the partnership has also been responsible for the rehabilitation of 56 other boreholes around the East African nation.
The boreholes play a crucial role considering the ongoing drought afflicting Somalis in the country.
