The United Nations sponsored training in Baidoa for a number of Somali female correctional officers.
The training for 13 female correctional affairs concluded on Saturday after three days.
The officers were trained on the rights and special needs of women in the criminal justice system.
They underwent training on ways of promoting gender responsiveness in various sectors.
The justice, corrections, and security sectors were cited.
