UN Issues Country Results Report for Somalia

The United Nations Country Results Report for Somalia in 2023 indicates that the United Nations budgeted a total of US $2.126 billion for the implementation of the Cooperation Framework.

In the report issued on Tuesday, US $1.471 billion was successfully mobilized, and US $1.140 billion was spent, with the remaining funds carried over to 2024.

Notably, over one billion dollars, which represents 92% of the amount spent, was directed towards Social Development, specifically under Strategic Priority 4.

This reflects the UN’s significant focus on improving social development outcomes in Somalia, addressing areas such as health, education, and other essential services.
