An office of the United Nations is to be put up in the regional state of Galmudug.
President Ahmed Abdi Karie Qoorqoor of Galmudug announced those plans recently when he hosted Kiki Gbeho.
Ms. Gbeho is the Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General.
Qoorqoor took Gbeho to Dhusamareb where they signed an agreement setting the stage for the construction of a UN office in the city.
Further, they agreed that Dhusamareb would host other UN offices too.
President Qoorqoor expressed gratitude to the UN Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM) for the commitment and support extended to Somalia over the years.
