The United Nations Police (UNPOL) is ready to enhance the capacity of security agencies in the regional state of Southwest.
UNPOL made the promise on Tuesday.
Speaking in Baidoa, officials from UNPOL held talks with their Southwest counterparts to discuss this issue.
They discussed areas of possible cooperation and partnership for future policing.
Discussions on institutional development and capacity building is necessitated by the impending drawdown of the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) forces.
