The United Nations head of relief visited Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre in Mogadishu on Tuesday, September 6.
Martin Griffiths, the UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, visited the Somali Prime Minister to discuss several issues.
Some of these issues included improving the partnership and cooperation that the Somali government enjoys with the UN and other international partners.
Griffiths has been in the East African nation, which he called the “epicenter” of the ongoing drought, to monitor the situation.
During his time in Somalia, the UN relief chief expects to work closely with other stakeholders to step up drought response activities.
