UN Security Council Displeased as Talks between FGS and FMS Breaks Down

Members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) have expressed their displeasure at the breakdown of talks between the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) and Federal Member States (FMS).

UNSC members made their displeasure known yesterday and urged President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo of Somalia to reconvene the talks immediately to stop the situation from getting worse.

Further, UNSC members also asked President Farmaajo to host national security meeting, which brings all federal and regional leaders together. According to UNSC, successful dialogue between FGS and FMS is crucial for the country’s peace, stability, and economic development.
