The East African nation has experienced an increase in the smuggling of weapons.
On Monday, the UN Security Council (UNSC) voted to form a committee that would pay close attention to the weapons and charcoal trades.
UNSC has already sent letters containing these recommendations to various member states and other organizations.
Recently, Somalia raised a complaint about the charcoal trade.
It informed the UNSC of tons of charcoal that were seized aboard MV Fox, a vessel plying its waters.
