Unconfirmed reports indicate that up to 20 people may have been killed in the February 19 clashes between government and the opposition in Mogadishu.
The clashes started on Thursday night before resuming on Friday morning.
Sources claim that the deaths might have been the result of stray gunfire and bullets fired by Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) security officers.
Government forces were clashing with security guards hired by opposition candidates who had planned a major anti-government rally at Daljirka Dahson Monument.
Neither the government nor the opposition has commented on casualties involved in today’s seemingly deadly clashes.
