The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) says that the many years of partnership with Somaliland have been a huge success.
Lionel Laurens, the UNDP Resident Representative to Somalia, was at the forefront praising the years of successful collaboration with Somaliland.
The UNDP chief said this during his meeting with officials from the Office of the Director-General of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change.
Laurens was in the company of Sophie Kemkhadze, the UNDP Deputy Resident Representative to Somalia during Thursday’s meeting.
They also discussed potential areas of further collaboration.
Such areas include rangeland rehabilitation as well as climate security and biodiversity. The status of blue economy in Somaliland also featured prominently in their discussions.
