UNDP to Reinforce Partnership with Somalia

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has vowed to reinforce its partnership with Somalia.

UNDP made this announcement on Saturday, November 5 after sending a delegation from its Mogadishu office to visit Mohamud Beenebeene.

Beenebeene is the federal Minister of Planning, Investment and Economic Development.

Senior UNDP officials visited Beenebeene at the offices of the planning ministry in the nation’s capital to discuss a few pertinent issues.

Some of the issues discussed included reinforcing the Somalia-UNDP partnership to foster resilience in the East African nation.

Further, they discussed advancing sustainable development goals (SDGs) and economic growth.

They agreed to seek durable solutions to the challenges Somalia faces while promoting investment opportunities in the country.
